On My Own...

Created this artwork for a painting class I am working on for my 18+ art credits. It was modeled after MixedMedia Jen on YouTube. This mixed media artwork is 11" x 14" done on mixed media paper, I have layered a napkin on the paper using gel medium, then added a few other strips of paper for contrast. I used s watered down acrylic paint for the background and cut out a woman from a clothing catalog to use as a mask to draw around to get the humanoid shapes. The shapes were painted another color and darkened along the edges until I like the colors used. I then used a charcoal stick along the edges and when this was all dry, I used white paint thinned with pouring medium in a fine line bottle to draw around the figures. The final step was to splatter black paint over the piece.
