Hello! Another great challenge today from Scrapping4FunChallenge #144. This challenge is all about the Beach and Travel, I love going to the beach!
I printed my image onto cardstock and was seriously trying to figure out what to do with it! I loved the cat image, reminded me of my cat, Kat, she is quite the character!
I printed off two images, I used one as a mask and one I colored. I used the Prisma colored pencils and gamsol technique on this card along with Distress inks in blue and brown and a saying from Tim Holtz. I also used glitter glue in some areas on the card.
I started out on my first image and didn't like what I had done, so I set that one aside and started coloring my second image. I didn't like all the white space around the image so when it was finished, I took the first image and cut it out to create a mask for the second image so that I could make the blue sky and the brown sand. I used a piece of white cardstock that was laying on my table cutting in some cloud images and inked my image, I cut 3 different shapes and just keep layering them. I did the same thing for the sand effect.
I liked that I have covered the white space! I then added the sentiment. I then took white cardstock for my base and applied Distress Oxide Ink in Worn Lipstick to the cardbase along the edges, the splattered with water, then I mounted my image with foam tape.
