Hello! Today, I am on the blog for Gecko Galz using the images from the Nouveau Magic collage sheet. I had lots of fun deciding on what to create with this beautiful set of images.

For my first project, I covered a phone case with a napkin then added the Gecko Galz image to the front of the holder. Make sure to pull all of the white ply off the back of the napkin. I use Glitter Art glue to attach the napkin to the phone holder, then just tore off the excess, glued down the image, and applied black ink to the edges.

My next project is using very large puzzle pieces. I covered them with old music pages and used the emery board to take off the excess along the edges of the puzzle. Then using distress paint to give each piece some color, I didn't want to use acrylic paint because it would have completely covered the paper and I wanted the music to be visible. I then used black ink along the edges of the Gecko Galz images and puzzle pieces. I was looking at them at realized they needed something more so I dug through my stencils looking for something Nouveau-inspired and used TCW champagne gold modeling paste for some added dimension.

The next two pieces are collages on canvas board when I am feeling uninspired, I paint the canvas board in an assortment of colors, then when inspiration hits I can just pull out a few boards and I am ready to create.

I used a napkin on the first one with gluing down the napkin, then tearing the edges back to expose some of the paint. then I glued down the Gecko Galz image, applied some washi tape, and the gold butterflies with a TCW stencil and champagne gold gesso.

This last collage, I used a canvas panel painted black, then brushed on crackle glaze medium and let it dry overnight. Then using a mix of white and brown brushed this over the crackle glaze then using a small circle stencil applied TCW white pearl modeling paste along the edges. After this was dry, I applied Vintage Photo distress ink and black ink along the edges. Dewdrops were applied in brown colors to give the piece some dimension.

I really needed something to hold my crayons on my desk because I use double-tiered lazy susans to hold my paint and other supplies. Here is the crayon holder using Gecko Galz images.

I used some printed tissue paper ripped into small pieces then glued them to the can with gel medium, let this layer dry overnight.

I then added the image with gel medium. This image was printed on a regular weight printer paper because I didn't need the stiffness of cardstock. I trimmed the image to fit my can and brushed gel medium over the whole piece again and let it dry overnight.
