AA Focus Collage

 

Hi! I'm on the Art Anthology blog today with a collage piece, titled - Focus on What’s Important.  I found a little binder about 6” x 5” and I want to create lots of collages to fill it, this is my first piece.

To create this collage, I first cut my pages 5 ½” by 4” then painted on the first layer of BellaBoo Sorbet Dimensional Medium over watercolor paper. I love these paints because they are translucent enough to be used as glazes.

First I used a text stamp and randomly stamped around the page, then used the Bee Hive stencil and some gold modeling paste and created some texture along one side of the collage. I then decided to use the woman and child images for the focal point and use some washi tape to anchor them to the page.
