BPM Ornament Blog Hop!!

Hello, Kelly Parker on the blog today with Blank Page Muse and we are doing an ornament blog hop!! We have lots of really cool ornaments using Blank Page Muse stamps, hope you can join us.

Supplies
clear ornament
hot glue
shrink plastic
small bottle tree
matching ribbon
fake snow

The first step is to build a platform for the snowman and tree to sit on, this was done with cardboard pieces that fit inside the lid of the ornament. It's not pretty but it doesn't have to be, it will be completely covered when you are finished. Here is the side that will be glued into the lid, the top side was painted white.

The next step is to stamp your images on shrink plastic and shrink them in an oven or toaster oven.

Please see my Quick Tip for using inkjet shrink plastic and printing your images in other sizes!

When you take the shrink plastic images out of the oven, make sure to press them flat. As you can see in the pictures, I cut a tab on the bottom of the snowman in order to attach it to the base and to build up snow around it.

Cut a slit in the base and insert the shrink plastic image with hot glue. Build up the layers of hot glue and fake snow to create a snowbank for the snowman to sit in, as the "snow" cools, you can take off the base of the tree and insert it in the glue "snow" behind the snowman.

Next, insert the base into the ornament lid with a dollop of glue and then insert it into the ornament shell.  Glue a ribbon around the lid bottom and use the same ribbon for hanging. Add embellishments.

That's it! Now you have a finished ornament for the holiday tree!
