Happy Birthday Card for Mom

Hello Friends!! Today, I have a Happy Birthday card for a special person in my life, my mother-in-law who has been more than a MIL to me over the last 30+ years, she is like the mom I never had!

Here's a little sneak peek of the card. I used Blank Page Muse stamps and alcohol lift along with embossing to create this card for a beautiful person.

Here are the tools and supplies I used to create the card. First of all, I created an alcohol background on yupo paper, then used the lift ink to create the images on the white cardstock. I used the Doodle Flower stamp from Blank Page Muse.

Then I used a pre-printed card from my stash to layer the card onto, I couldn't believe I would find a match but this card looks great as the base.

I then used Versamark ink and gold embossing powder to create the sentiment and back it with black to make it pop!

Here are the finished card and envelope to match!

  2. I still haven't tried this lift ink, but your card gives me the incentive to do so, Kelly! Thanks for sharing your process with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!

    1. Hi Lin, you should try it, this is was my first time and I loved it! I will be using it again. I like that you can get 2 projects from this technique too.

  3. Very nice card! Your alcohol ink lift came out really nice. Mine not so much the first time. Have you tried with the pearl alcohol ink? That I think I was using and it didn't seem to work as well. Thanks for joining in over at a2z Scrapbooking for the May Challenge.
