Hello! Today, I am guest designing for The Crafter's Workshop (TCW) with the new Fall 2019 release of stencils for the month of December. I love TCW stencils, they have great designs and they are very versatile!
I used the TCW 8970 Fir Branch designed by Carmen Medlin and TCW 876 Screen View designed by Rebekah Meier along with TCW 9026 Champagne Gold Modeling Paste. This modeling paste is a must-have in any crafters tool kit, it spreads on smoothly and looks amazing!
First, I layered my stencil over cream cardstock and using acrylic paint and a sponge colored the fir branch and pinecones.
I then cut a black piece of cardstock for one layer and a red piece of cardstock for another layer, then using the TCW 876 Screen View along with TCW 9026 Champagne Gold Modeling Paste, I applied this along the edge of the red paper to give it some depth and a pop of gold.
I then cut down the stenciled fir branch and mounted it to the red paper then mounted this piece to the black paper and glued everything down to the card front. I then stamped with black ink, the Merry Christmas sentiment in the right bottom corner. Here is my finished card.
Another way to use the TCW 870 Fir Branch Stencil
I also did a second set of cards using the TCW 870 Fir Branch stencil on kraft cardstock. These cards were done with Distress Oxide inks for a softer tone on the kraft paper.
To create these cards, I placed the TWC 870 Fir Branch stencil over the kraft card stock, then cut the panel down, then splattered the background with TCW9003 Gold Gesso, set aside to dry.
While the Fir Branch panel is drying, I embossed the sentiment onto vellum and then wrapped it around the Fir Branch panel and the black panel and held it in place with tape, then glued everything to the card front.
The Crafters Workshop (TCW) would love to see what you create with their Stencils and Mediums. You can share it on the Facebook Page, Instagram and Pinterest using hashtag #stencillove.
